NOTICE:
The trails have not even been open a week and the club is already receiving complaints about snowmobiles riding where they are not supposed to be riding.
We’ve mentioned this before a few days ago, but now we’ve heard from the State about the riding along Route 202 in Rindge. They don’t like seeing the sleds tearing up the ground with their tracks as well as riding along Rt 202 where we are NOT allowed.
Where we ARE ALLOWED IS:
- Primary Trail 402 under the power lines next to the self-storage and Hannaford’s to get across Rt 202.
- Where Corridor 4 (the railbed) crosses Rt. 202, we can go north along 202 to the Irving gas station on Club Trail 411. (Our map maker was kind enough to put these trails on our map but failed to mark them!) From there we can also go south along 202 (Opposite side of the road on Club Trail 412) to Dunkin Donuts.
CT 411 is on the southbound side of 202 and CT 412 is on the northbound side of the road. EVERYTHING is marked! Look for it!
EVERYTHING ELSE ON ROUTE 202 IS PROHIBITED!!!
ANOTHER TROUBLE SPOT…
- Is on Primary Trail 402 in New Ipswich where we cross through a field on the Maki’s property. We have this area CLEARLY MARKED and yet, we have some “heroes” that see a field and deem it their own playground. PT402 is the Sno-Moles’ only link to Wilton and beyond. If we lose it because of a few sledders who can’t follow the rules, there will be quite a few members very upset.
Please stay on the marked trails so we do not lose them. If not, just stay home. Landowners don’t “have to” let us ride on their land. If we don’t do as they ask, they won’t let us at all. Let’s not ruin it for everyone. Pass the word to all you know who snowmobile…. Maybe the culprits will overhear you! ;)
